A stunning sunset in Charleston South Carolina overlooking the Ravenel Bridge
Place to explore in Charleston South Carolina. Water front Park in Mount Pleasant right next to the Arthur Ravenel
Charleston, South Carolina Sunset at the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

Location #1 - Waterfront Park Mount Pleasant

This is a great spot to catch a sunset or go for a walk during the day! There is a pier that goes out into the water that takes you right along side the Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge. Then just a short walk area is a big grass field that is a great spot to sit and watch the sun go down! Make sure to bring some bug spray though as it does get very buggy in the summer time! Another spot to watch from and it is where the first and third picture were taken is the top of the parking garage! Now that might not seem like the best place to see a sunset but let me tell you what, it is one of the best places in Charleston to see a sunset! Also a great backdrop if you want to get some photos taken of yourself or you and your partner!

Shem Creek in Charleston a great place to watch a sunset or spend a day in Charleston.

Location #2 - Shem Creek

Shem Creek is an amazing place to catch a sunset or just enjoy a beautiful day in Charleston. This place is a must see. There are plenty of restaurants and bars that you can grab a bite to eat or grab a drink! But for me walking the board walk is one of my favorite parts. Watching the sun go down over the water just makes for a beautiful scene that looks like it would be right out of a movie! You might even remember some of the scenes from Outer Banks, OBX, on Netflix as Charleston is the place where almost all of the second season is filmed! If you are the adventurous type, you can do a kayak sunset tour and be on the water for the sunset! Make sure to keep your eyes out for our dolphin friends here in Charleston!

Location #3 - Pitt Street Bridge

This is right down the street from Shem Creek! So if you spent the day at Shem Creek and want to check out a new spot for the sunset, head down the street to Pitt Street bridge! Just make sure you put in the right address, Pitt St Mt Pleasant, SC 29464, or else you will end up on the wrong side of the bridge and miss the sunset! Pitt street bridge used to connect Sullivans Island and Mount Pleasant when the trolleys were the main mode of transportation! Once cars become more and more common the bridge stopped being used and now where it was is now a fantastic place to watch the sunset, have a picnic or just go to hang out! This is one of my favorite places to go and just hang out and unwind!
